Congratulations on the 4th place at the SwissSkills Championships
Our apprentice Tommy Christen narrowly missed out on the podium at the SwissSkills Championships 2020 in the profession of polymechanic CNC turning and finished in a very good 4th place. We congratulate Tommy on his great performance during the competition and also during the preparation time. Great job! Among the tasks in the discipline CNC turning was the production of workpieces with the CNC machine, which had to be programmed correctly beforehand so that the right tools were used at the right time. In May, Tommy qualified as one of eight finalists in the CNC
turning discipline for participation in the SwissSkills 2020. Since these could not be held centrally in Berne as planned, the professional associations ensured that the event was held. The SwissSkills Championships 2020 in the profession of polymechanic were held at the Swissmechanic course centre. From 30 September to 3 October, eight young professionals each competed in the three disciplines of automation, CNC turning and CNC milling in Münchenbuchsee for the Swiss championship title.
